What is RAI? RAI stands for Regents Admission Index. RAI is used to determine admission into Iowa's three Regent universities: Iowa State, University of Northern Iowa and University of Iowa. Students who achieve a score of 245 or higher and have completed the college's high school course requirements will automatically be offered admission. Students who do not meet the 245 score, but meet coursework requirements, may apply to have their application reviewed individually for admission.
